Pencil drawing with digital color. I decided to preserve the yellowish hue of the Moleskine paper it was drawn on.

Thank you! I’m really glad I finally joined in. I’ve been watching IF for a couple years now and just never seemed to have the time to get something submitted. :)

I think this is a perfect interpretation of the topic. The woman is beautiful, graceful and strong.
My only criticism is – where is she walking? It doesn’t look like she’s going towards the town, more like about to step off a cliff, into the ocean.

Thanks, Danyell!
Is it really criticism, or just a question? When I draw things for myself, I usually don’t tell the story explicitly. Sometimes I don’t even have the answers myself. Is she coming or going, or just passing by? Is she standing on a cliff, or a path, or the stern of a boat?
I’ve presented a single moment, and whatever the viewer wants to build around that is up to them. :)

Beautiful and elegant drawing! Welcome to IF! Wherever she’s walking to or from, it’s an original take on the theme and well done!

I absolutely luv your illustration. The calm choice of colour and concept are appealing. Checked out a few of your other works too, such a refreshign style!
